Top 10 TV Shows to Binge Watch - Lockdown Edition

Its been some time since we posted a 'Top 10 TV Shows to Binge Watch' blog post. However, with more and more of us seeking entertainment in our own homes we thought it would be a good time to bring you an updated list of some of our favourites.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (Channel 4)
If you are a fan of musicals and comedy then you will love Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. Featuring spontaneous song and dance routines, drama and comedy if you think of Glee in the workplace and you won't be too far out!

The Politician (Netfix)
Speaking of Glee, The Politician is a comedy/drama created by the same genius who created Glee, American Horror Story, Scream Queens and Nip/Tuck. Set in a fictional high school, season 1 follows the adventures of the ambitious Payton Hobart, who is running for student body president (played perfectly by the fantastic Ben Platt) Season 2 has recently dropped on Netflix and is on our watch list!

The Stranger (Netflix)
Based on a book by Harlan Coben, The Stranger is a thriller and each episode uncovers more and more twists and turns! Definitely worth a watch if you enjoy the thriller genre.

Next in Fashion (Netflix)
We admit to being obsessed with all shows about fashion and brand new Netflix series Next in Fashion is right up our street. Presented by Alexa Chung and Tan France, Next in Fashion is very similar to Project Runway (which we also love!). Talented designers from all over the world compete to win $250,000 prize money by completing a different design challenge each week.

Making the Cut (Amazon Prime)
Another design show! Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn (previously Project Runway partners) reunite for this Amazon Prime design show with 1 million dollars up for grabs! Guest judge Naomi Cambell is also on board to frighten the life out of contestants!

The Witcher (Netflix)
We must admit, it took 2 or 3 episodes for us to get into The Witcher due to its differing timelines and many characters but bear with it! If you persevere its a good watch and all comes together in the end. Looking forward to season 2!

Tiger King (Netflix)
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few montha you will have heard of Tiger King! We were first introduced to the story via a podcast last year but the story really benefits from the visuals included in this 'documentary'. If you haven't watched it yet, believe the hype!. Its crazy, shocking, funny and jaw dropping in equal measures!

Love is Blind (Netflix)
Another show whose reputation precedes it! As a lover of shows like The Bachelor/Bachelorette we were not sure what to expect from a 'dating' show where you don't see the person you are dating until you are engaged! We were not disappointed. With some jaw dropping and cringe moments check out Love is Blind for some escapist entertainment.

Carnival Row (Amazon Prime)
One of Lynn's favourites from 2019, Carnival Row is best described as a fantasy/mythical thriller. Giving Sherlock Holmes vibes, Orlando Bloom plays an inspector investigating a dark force in the city. It's a beautifully shot show with an intriguing plot and definitely worth a binge!

The Morning Show (Apple TV+)
If you do not have access to Apple TV+, The Morning Show is worth the subscription cost alone. Set in the world of morning TV in the immediate aftermath of a sexual misconduct scandal the subject matter is handled perfectly by Jennifer Aniston, Reece Witherspoon and Steve Carell.
We hope that you enjoy some of our TV show recommendations! We haven't repeated any of our previous picks so if you want to check the previous posts out you'll find them below (or search the blog for 'TV Shows').

Until next time take care and stay safe!
