Bourjois Souffle de Velvet Review

Bourjois Souffle de Velvet Review
Bourjois is one of our all time favourite affordable makeup brands and whenever we see a new realise from the brand we are all over it! The latest to catch our eye is the Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet and we selected 05 Fuchsiamallow and 03 VIPeach to try out and review for you all!

Bourjois Souffle de Velvet ReviewThe packaging is the same as their Rouge Edition Velvet and Rouge Edition Aqua Laque with the exception of the slightly frosted casing. The product has the same scent as the Rouge Edition Velvet which is slightly perfumed but not overwhelmingly so. That is where the similarity ends. The formula of the Souffle de Velvet is exactly that: SOUFFLE! The colour pay off is that of a light lip balm rather than a lip lacquer so don't make the mistake of thinking it will be similar to a liquid lipstick. It is not! The product has a matte finish and the pigmentation is more of a 'wash' of colour.

Bourjois claims that; 'Its soft, melting texture glides on to the lips and turns into a matt, velvety and incredibly light colour. Lips are left smooth and soft as velvet'. We would agree with those claims! The texture is very interesting and it does not feel dry or uncomfortable on the lips at all. It's very easy to wear and does not 'bunch up' if reapplied throughout the day.

L-R: Fuchsiamallow, VIPeach
The concept of a matte lip product in a balm is very original and Bourjois have done a great job with this new release. If you are a fan of a more natural look but enjoy a matte finish then give the Souffle de Velvet a try!

The Bourjois Souffle de Velvet is currently on sale in Boots and Superdrug for £8.99.

Have you tried the Souffle de Velvet? What do you think?
