Spring Polish Picks

We love it when springtime comes around and we can start to bring those pretty spring shades of nail polish out of hibernation! Of course, there are no laws to say you can only wear pretty pastels in the spring or summer however when winter draws in bright nails are usually banished and the deeper colours come out to play. Once Easter arrived we decided to dust off some of our favourite shades for spring and share them with you all!

Essie is our favourite brand of nail polish and they produce some of our all time favourite colours, therefore Essie was the brand we reached for first.

Saltwater Happy

This powder blue creamy pastel polish is such a unique shade and unlike anything else we own. It has such a beachy feel and will see you straight into summer!

Warm & Toasty Turtleneck

The perfect example of a polish that was designed for the winter 2013 Essie collection but is, in our opinion, the perfect spring shade too! In spite of its wintery name we love this dusty lavender polish for springtime nails.

Mint Candy Apple

This classic and somewhat iconic Essie polish is our go-to spring summer minty green-blue. It looks great on the fingers or toes and is perfect for holidays in the sun!

Without a doubt the most affordable and greatest range of drugstore polishes come from the Barry M camp. Their selection is huge and the vast majority of the formulas and shades are unbeatable. Our favourite formula is the Gelly Hi Shine which gives a fantastic gel like finish without the salon cost!

Rose Hip

This is a beautiful glossy, baby pink with a shiny gel finish. What could be more perfect in the spring time to get our nails out from under those deep burgundy's!  

Papaya

A favourite of ours when we are looking for something bright and citrus. This is a creamy dusty coral which is both wearable and eye catching!

Coconut

This creamy off white is perfect for those days when you are after a white polish but don't want to look like you've used Tippex!   

The Best of the Rest!

Chanel

We have a couple of Chanel polishes in our collection  and as fans of a nude nail we really love Frenzy. This was an Autumn 2012 release from Chanel but as a cool toned grey with a hint of lilac it has year round appeal for us!

L'Oréal
Last summer when we were in Target we came across the L'Oréal Collection Exclusive polishes on sale! Of course we had to have them and one of our favourites is this shimmery metallic pinky bronze named Frieda's Nude. Its just gorgeous!

We have our eye on some new spring summer releases and will be picking them up in time for our holiday in May. We are especially excited to try out the new Barry M Coconut Infusion line. Watch this space for a review!
