Ciate Olivia Palermo Collection

When shopping the sales in TK Maxx we chanced upon some of the Olivia Palermo Collection by Ciate and couldn't help ourselves! We had previously eyed up the nail polish collection but at £17 for one polish we held off and decided not to make a purchase. Thank goodness we didn't as the price in TK Maxx was slashed to just £5.99! Our TK Maxx only carried the one shade, a pretty pink/nude called Off Duty Nude. It comes in a beautiful presentation box and would make a perfect gift. The formula is quite clear initially but you can build the opacity with 3 coats and it applies nice and evenly. It lasted around 4 days  with a top coat before chipping. This polish is still retailing for £17 in many stores so if you are able to get your hands on it in your local TK Maxx you have bagged a bargain!

Next we spotted some lipsticks from the collection and after much rummaging came away with our favourite three, Praline, Truffle and Cashmere. These 'Satin Kiss' lipsticks were, once again, just £5.99 compared to their usual retail value of £19.00! (Truffle is currently advertised on the Ciate London website as 'NEW'). The shades we selected are quite similar in that they are all various depths of pink/nude but Praline is a little more intense. The formula is creamy and gives a semi-matte finish that is long wearing and comfortable on the lips. Again, these are still retailing for £19 in stores and online so if you'd like to give them a try then take a look in your TK Maxx store!

Finally we picked up the Smoked Out Liner in Fig. Advertised as having the 'bendability of kohl with the intensity of gel' this is certainly a creamy liner that does not drag during application. Fig is a deep purple shade that gives a little pop of colour and is a lovely change from our go-to black liner. It comes with a smudger brush on the opposite end to the liner which we weren't a huge fan of but as we only paid £4.99 instead of the RRP of £15.00 we can let that one go!
We are very pleased with our Ciate Olivia Palermo purchases and would recommend the products however we do think the RRP for the products is too high. If you are able to get hold of them for under £10 then they are great value for money as the packaging is luxurious and the quality of the products is great and we are glad that we were able to try them. We haven't been tempted to splash out on more products at full price and feel that there are better high end products out there at high end prices.

Have you tried any of the Ciate Olivia Palermo Collection? What are your thoughts?
