New L'Oreal Purchases

While browsing the beauty aisles of Boots we came across some L'Oreal products that had pride of place at the helm of the L'Oreal display. We had not noticed them before and Boots were offering 3 for 2 on L'Oreal products so, of course, we wanted to try them all! The products in question were the Color Riche La Palette Nude Beige, False Lash Sculpt Mascara and the Superliner Black 'n' Sculpt Eyeliner.

Lets start with the best! We LOVE the False Lash Sculpt Mascara! It is advertised as the mascara to tight line at the root, volumise at the core and fan-out at the tip...and it does! The first thing you will notice is the rather unusual wand. It is similar to the L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara in that it fans out at one end and has a comb/brush but the Sculpt Mascara somehow manages to frame your eyes with product during application negating the need for a separate eyeliner. Perfect for those lazy days or for a quick application before you run out of the door! It also gives fantastic length and separation. Great if you have lashes that are short or straight. I can see this mascara being a staple in our make up collection for a long time to come! The worlds fussiest mascara wearers are impressed!

We also have been enjoying the Color Riche La Palette Nude Beige eyeshadow palette. Lets be honest, we really did not need any more eyeshadow palettes in our life but it was too good to miss and has some beautiful natural shades, perfect for creating any everyday eye look. The palette has 6 matte shades and 4 shimmers including a dark smokey shade for a more intense evening look. The formula is creamy, not at all powdery and the pigmentation is great. Definitely a fantastic alternative to a high end palette and at just £14.99 this comes in at a fraction of the price of its high end equivalents such as the Urban Decay Naked Palettes.

Finally, the Superliner Black 'n' Sculpt eyeliner. Billed as L'Oreals '1st spherical tip eye liner: line your eyes from any angle'  it certainly does have a spherical tip. Whether that is a good thing or not, the jury is still out! It seems somewhat cumbersome and had us longing for the slim Superliner Superstar to get a more precise line. L'Oreal make some amazing liquid eyeliners but unfortunately the Black 'n' Sculpt is not our favourite. We will perservere and let you know if we have a revelation!

So, as they say, two out of three ain't bad! We can forgive the Superliner Black 'n' Sculpt because the other two products were such hits with us! Our recomendation would be to grab the False Lash Sculpt Mascara as soon as possible as we love it and we think you will love it too! If you are in the market for an eyeshadow palette and don't want to break the bank the Color Riche La Palette Nude Beige is a fantastic option and we would highly recommend it too. If you are looking for a liquid eyeline L'Oreal has much better options than the Superliner Black 'n' Sculpt. Leave this one on the shelf and pick up the Superliner Superstar instead.

Have you tried the L'Oreal products mentioned above? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
