Being a sucker for anything new and exciting I just had to buy the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette when browsing the Urban Decay stand at House of Fraser! I had no intention of purchasing it but after seeing it in the flesh I realised it was such an everyday wearable palette I really wanted to give it a go! It turned out to be money well spent as I have pretty much used this palette everyday for the last month!
The stand out shades for me are Baby, Anaheim and Punk. The three combined make the perfect everyday easy eye look. The two colours that put me off the palette initially were Harajuku and Danger since they are bold colours compared to the rest of the palette however I actually love them. I did a blue smokey eye using Danger for a recent night out and I have loved using Harajuku in the crease and really blending Punk on top to make the stunning mauve shade!
The packaging of the palette is not only gorgeous but it is really substantial with a large mirror, so you feel like you are getting real value for money. Inside of the box was a sample sheet with 4 out of 6 of the new Gwen Stefani Lipsticks although the tiny samples are a little difficult to use it was great to try them and I was delighted when a friend gifted me shade 714 soon after my palette purchase!
Overall I think this is not a palette to pass up, especially if you like shimmers on the lid and a neutral crease! I cant wait to see if they collaborate on other products in the future! I am now lusting after the blush palette and hope to have that in my collection soon!
