Since Aimee relocated to Orlando I have also been spending a lot more time there and tend to visit twice a year for up to six weeks. That being the case, I am also spending a lot more time in Orlando's many theme parks. I now feel that I now have determined exactly which items I need to carry with me for a day in the parks and thought I would share them with you! 

Staycation At Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Recently I joined my parents, who were visiting from the UK, for a mini break at the beautiful Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort. Portofino Bay has stolen my heart and is my absolute favourite of all of the hotels on Universal property. Instead of giving you a full review of the hotel and it's facilities (there are so many of them online from people who can write way more eloquently than me!) I wanted to show you some of the lovely images that we shot at the resort and of course I will tell you a little about our stay too!

Topgolf Orlando Preview Day

I was lucky enough to be invited to a preview last weekend at the brand new Topgolf venue on Universal Boulevard, Orlando. The new Topgolf venue opens 20th October 2017 and I was very excited to be able to attend the preview!

I am the first to admit, I have never actually played a game of golf! The odd attempt at crazy golf is as close as I have gotten to golfing, therefore, I was very interested to see what Topgolf was all about and if it would appeal to a non-golfer like me.

Exploring Downtown Kissimmee: Alligators & Antiques

We admit we have been guilty in the past of believing that all Orlando and the surrounding areas have to offer are miles and miles of theme parks. We have always wanted to find out more about the area and have made a conscious effort in the past couple of years to do more exploring. One of those days led us to the Downtown Kissimmee area and while we are by no means experts, we wanted to share some of the sights of our recent trip to the area.

Fashion is my absolute passion, having studied it at University and I am always excited to bring you style and fashion posts on our blog. I love scouring both online stores and shopping malls for clothes and accessories! A vacation is the perfect excuse to buy a whole lot of new clothes! (as if such an excuse were needed!). If you watch our vlogs you will know how much we love Universal Orlando Resort and when we were preparing for our recent trip we really wanted to take some pictures using the amazing streets there! This area of the park has a very vintage feel with the New York style houses, old store fronts and parked cars so of course the first thing that came to mind was vintage dresses!

If you have seen any of our Orlando vlogs you will know that we are huge fans of the amazing 4 Rivers Smokehouse. When we heard that the team behind 4 Rivers also owned another restaurant we were very excited to check it out!

The Day We Were Gilmore Girls

You'd have to have been living under a rock for the past 6 months to not have heard about the Netflix revival of one of our favourite shows - Gilmore Girls. The new four part revival 'Gilmore Girls - A Year In The Life' is due to be aired globally on Netflix November 25th and we couldn't be more excited for its premier! As a mother and daughter team we relate to the Lorelai/Rory relationship but without the razor sharp wit and mile a minute banter!

Top Brunch Spots In Orlando

During our recent trip to Orlando we enjoyed many a leisurely brunch prior to a late start shopping or hanging out in the parks. These have been documented in our Orlando October 2016 vlogs however we really wanted to share them with you, our readers! DIY Floral Wire Mickey Ears

 

We are off to Orlando, home of Disneyworld and all things Mickey Mouse, in a few days and we will be making a beeline for the fantastic Epcot Food and Wine Festival when we are there.

 

We have seen so much inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest recently featuring amazing handmade floral and wire ears that we decided to have a go at making our own Food and Wine Festival/Autumnal themed version instead of buying them in the park! 

Primark Haul May/June 2016

Recently we were shopping at our favourite mall, Intu Metrocentre and we couldn't resist popping into Primark to see if they had anything new since our last visit. The Metrocentre store is undergoing something of a makeover right now. They have taken over some space next door and are expanding. Its already a pretty big store covering 2 floors so it is going to be huge! How exciting for all of us North East based Primark addicts!

We both picked up a few things and wanted to share them with you. After all, who doesn't love a Primark haul! Here is what we picked up and who bought them!

Marble Clutchbag - Mimi
As we were browsing the bags Elle found this beautiful and so much cheaper than it looks marble clutch bag! It was literally the last one in the whole store! It is so pretty and versitile and I can see it being well used over the summer months. I already have it put aside to complete the outfit I plan to wear to my cousins engagement party next week.
